The first episode starts with one of my daily teas — Teavana’s Samurai Chai Maté.

Episode 018: Toasted Nut Brulee
Teavana’s tea blends can be really hit or miss. This toasted nut brulee blend is a mix of oolong and rooibos along with a kitchen sink of other ingredients like coconut, ginger, and pineapple.
The resulting brew is nutty and spicy and oddly creamy. All the flavors really don’t come together in a very good way, but it’s more palatable iced than hot. If you’re allergic to nuts, you definitely should stay away from this.

Episode 021: Blueberry Kona Pop
Mtume’s “Juicy Fruit” came to mind when I chose this tea. This is one of Teavana’s mixed blends (i.e., a blend of two blends), which consists of Blueberry Bliss and Pineapple Kona Pop. Hence the name Blueberry Kona Pop!
The dry leaves are really floral; actually, it kinda smells like Bubbalicious! It was great hot, but it really shines as an iced tea. It would be great as a mixer as well!

Episode 025: Youthberry
Teavana’s Youthberry is another one of these multiflavored blends that has a lot going on in one cup. Flavor-wise, it’s pretty similar to Blueberry Kona Pop. The difference here is the white tea.
The delicateness of the white tea plays very well with these flavors, so it’s not super heavy. Just make sure to brew it properly (175 degrees for no longer than 2 minutes)!

Episode 026: My Morning Maté
Two Teavana teas in a row! (Bear with me — I’m trying to add some variety in here.) Chocolate was on my mind this morning, so I brewed up a cup of Teavana’s My Morning Maté.
This blend is a mix of roasted maté and rooibos along with a big punch of chocolate in the form of cocoa kernels, chocolate, chips, and carob bits. The result is a great full-bodied cup that’s perfect for kickstarting you in the morning. If you’re trying to wean yourself off of coffee, give this blend a shot! I think you’ll like it!
