Episode 022: Kitchen Sink Tea

I was very intrigued by this green tea blend from Zoomdweebie’s. The base is green tea (banchan, I think), and there is a huge medley of over 20 flavors added. Since each blend has different quantities of flavors, each cup tastes different.

It’s a fairly good green tea, but the fruity flavors are the star here. Try it iced and you’ll really taste the depth and nuance of flavor. It’s a lot going on, but it actually works!

Episode 031: Mango Pineapple Darjeeling

Darjeeling is such an interesting tea, y’all. It’s a Chinese tea that grows in India and can have a really layered and complex flavor profile. In this mango pineapple darjeeling blend, the good folks at Zoomdweebie’s have added freeze dried mango and pineapple to create a really satisfying cup.

The fruitiness of the mango and pineapple really play well with the darjeeling, and it makes for a fruity yet balanced brew. This is so, so, so good.

Episode 082: Mango Peach Iced Tea

Maybe it’s because I’m a born and bred Southerner, but once the weather starts getting warm, I get a strong hankering for iced tea. I have a lot of teas from Zoomdweebie’s Southern Boy collection, and today I’m sampling their mango peach iced tea.

I’m picking up mango more than peach, but both flavors in this blend meld perfectly with the Indian black tea. The prep instructions are a little vague, but you can’t go wrong with cold brewing this in the fridge in a pitcher or carafe.

Episode 098: Youthberry/Wild Orange Blossom

Teavana really loves these fruity tea blends, and Youthberry/Wild Orange Blossom is no exception. I’ve reviewed Youthberry before, so I was interested to see what Wild Orange Blossom would bring in terms of a flavor profile (besides orange, duh).

It’s very floral and sweet, and that’s not just because of the addition of rock sugar. I did pick up a bit of a sour, tart aftertaste (maybe from that big hunk of orange slice), but I imagine this would be just as good hot as it would be iced. Give it a try!
