Episode 292: Summer Chamomile Medley

Fall is definitely here, but I still need one last taste of summer. Right now, I’ll settle for this Summer Chamomile Medley blend from Verdant Tea (courtesy of Steepster). Usually chamomile isn’t my cup of tea, but this includes a ton of tasty inclusions — goji berries, lemongrass, tulsi rama, chrysanthemum, dandelion, and more.

It certainly looks like chamomile when it brews, but I certainly don’t taste it! Its honeyed sweetness accentuates the berries in the blend, and the lemongrass gives a nice clean finish. This would be amazing as an iced tea as well! Get the recipe here!

Episode 316: Tension Tamer

When I think about Celestial Seasonings’ Tension Tamer tea — as one who has a daily podcast is wont to do — this video from Coco Peru pops into mind. I’ve never had it myself, but Celestial Seasonings actually sent me some, so let’s give it a try!

I like it! It’s got a nice minty taste from the peppermint, and the licorice, chamomile, lemongrass and linden (called tilia here) all add nice floral flavors and aromas while having the added benefits of calming you down. There’s catnip in here, which is pretty interesting, and it’s also pretty fantastic as an iced tea for a late night sip. Yum!
