Episode 184: Cherry Green

I love cherries — surprise, surprise — so this Cherry Green from Adagio Teas sounded like it would be a great blend to try! I wish you could smell the dry leaves, because the cherry aroma is intoxicating!

However, the cherry flavor isn’t super strong in the brew. It’s tart, but the main flavor that I’m tasting here isn’t cherry — it’s rose! Any cherry flavor here is pretty minimal. Maybe this should be called “Cherry Rose”!

Episode 214: Black Cherry Berry

I’m on the hunt now for a really good cherry-flavored tea. The varieties I’ve tried in the past here on the show have been hit or miss (mostly miss), but now we have a new challenger — Celestial Seasonings’ Black Cherry Berry. This herbal blend contains natural black cherry flavor along with hibiscus and rosehips.

Out of the Celestial Seasonings’ offerings I’ve tried so far, this one is probably the best out of the bunch! The hibiscus adds a nice tartness which accents the cherry flavor perfectly. If you like a nice tart tea, try this out!

Episode 221: Cherry Chocolate Iced Tea

It’s the hottest part of the summer here in Atlanta, so I’m all about getting close to a nice tall glass of iced tea to stay cool. Today, it’s Southern Boy Tea’s Cherry Chocolate Iced Tea.

I know it sounds like an odd flavor combination for an iced tea, but it works really well together! It tastes like you’re drinking a cherry-flavored Tootsie Roll Pop, which is fine by me.

Episode 223: Dewy Cherry

Dewy Cherry might sound like one of my distant relatives or something, but it’s actually an herbal tea blend from Adagio Teas. As you can see from the photo, it’s a mix of cherries, hibiscus, rose hips, and apple pieces. Lots of apple pieces.

Even with all this apple, the brew has a strong cherry flavor that borders on medicinal. I think it really shines as an iced tea — that’s when the flavors really come together and the hibiscus provides a good support for the dried cherries. Not too bad!
