52 Teas’ Mayan Chocolate Chai is the perfect mix of chai spices and chocolate. If you like Starbucks’ Chocolate Chai Tea Latte, you’ll love this! It’s a nice, deep, spicy chai blend further punctuated with the addition of cayenne pepper. It’s perfect for cold weather!
Teavana’s tea blends can be really hit or miss. This toasted nut brulee blend is a mix of oolong and rooibos along with a kitchen sink of other ingredients like coconut, ginger, and pineapple.
The resulting brew is nutty and spicy and oddly creamy. All the flavors really don’t come together in a very good way, but it’s more palatable iced than hot. If you’re allergic to nuts, you definitely should stay away from this.
Two Teavana teas in a row! (Bear with me — I’m trying to add some variety in here.) Chocolate was on my mind this morning, so I brewed up a cup of Teavana’s My Morning Maté.
This blend is a mix of roasted maté and rooibos along with a big punch of chocolate in the form of cocoa kernels, chocolate, chips, and carob bits. The result is a great full-bodied cup that’s perfect for kickstarting you in the morning. If you’re trying to wean yourself off of coffee, give this blend a shot! I think you’ll like it!
You know I’m not the biggest fan of most chocolate teas, so I approached Teavana’s CocoCaramel Sea Salt with a bit of hesitation. But you know what? It’s not too bad!
The blend is chocolatey, but not watery or too thick. There’s just the right touch of sea salt, with some added sweetness from the honeybush (although you do taste it near the back of the sip). I don’t think this is a tea I’d drink very often, but it would make for a nice dessert tea.
Iced tea season is heeeeeere! I mean, I do love my hot teas, but there’s nothing better on a hot day that a tall cold glass of iced tea. And you know we love iced tea here in the South.
Today’s selection is another iced tea from Zoomdweebie’s — almond milk iced tea. Now this sounds like an odd flavoring for iced tea, but stick with me here, because it’s REALLY good. I didn’t really get an almond milk flavor — and I am a heavy almond milk drinker — but I got more of a marshmallow-y Thai iced tea flavor. So if that’s up your alley, then you should definitely give this tea a shot!
