I’m slightly intrigued by this “bold” green tea from Ito En. What makes it so bold? Was it brewed longer? Is it a different grade of green tea? Time to investigate!
Flavor-wise, it’s very grassy. (Almost muddy, honestly.) There’s a bit of a roasted flavor here, but it’s much more woody than a bancha or a kyobancha. It’s drinkable, but it’s definitely a bitter bottle of tea. Meh.
