This Qu Hao Silk from The Tea Spot comes from an area of China — the Wuyi Mountains — usually known for oolong teas. That may account for the nice rich texture of this tea that doesn’t have the same bitterness that one would normally find with black tea.
What I like best about this blend are the natural notes of chocolate — if you let it cool long enough, it even tastes a bit like chocolate milk! No wonder it has the nickname “black silk”. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
